I believe therapy is an individualized process that empowers a person to be honest and open, giving he or she the ability to accept and make change. Self-reflection requires the courage to be vulnerable and the curiosity to explore feelings. Healthy therapy finds and leverages a person’s inner strengths in an effort to attain his or her personal goals.

Since every client is different, I utilize multiple theories based on the client’s needs. I have enjoyed working with adolescents and teens as well as their families for the past four years, which has given me great insight into the lives and struggles many people face every day.

My goal is to provide practical tools and strategies to help clients meet their needs in a more effective, empowering way. Since these changes can be difficult, I believe it is important to incorporate gentleness and laughter into my therapy sessions. Some of the therapeutic techniques I use include cognitive-behavioral, play, family-systems, solution-focused, mindfulness and choice theory.

I look forward to meeting you!
